Sandy has been rawfeeding for well over a decade, and counseled thousands of cats (she's not a cat psychic, so this is through their caregivers:) over the years. All her own cats are of course raw-fed, and in each case came with various digestive and health issues all of which were quickly resolved.
The photo here is of Missy who turned 13 in early March, and is a real testament to rawfeeding, 0 vaccinations (other than pre-adoption), and as much as humanly possible an environment free of toxin and chemical exposure.
She was adopted at age 2 or so, and recently had one day where she didn't eat her breakfast. Other than that in 11 years, she has never once sneezed, had tummy issues of any sort, or felt unwell. She has had around 1 hairball a year mostly because she's very sweet and grooms her bratty baby sister Pigpen who has medium-length fur. Missy's exact origins are unknown, but FWIW she appears to be a purebred American Shorthair. |
